Company ProfilePharmacon was founded in 1994 in Deerfield Beach, Florida by Dr. Richard Moss. His twenty-six years of experience in the home infusion field has led to his revolutionary approach utilizing a doctor only, hands-on preparation of ALL intravenous medications. Also, Dr. Moss provides personal in hospital consultation for hyperalimentation (TPN) throughout Florida upon physician request free of charge. This is of great comfort to many physicians and case managers since Dr. Moss can relieve the time burden of order writing, coordination, qualification, training and general liability. We are licensed and fully insured! Our infusion program is accredited by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). This accreditation is a seal of approval that Pharmacon is providing a quality standard of care to the community. In compliance with USP <797> standards for sterile admixures, we utilize an IsoTech MicroSphere ISO Class 4 Sterile Compounding Aseptic Isolator. The Company was the one of the first on-line intravenous homecare firms to provide out-of-state telephone consultations with physicians regarding hyperalimentation formulas, guidelines and qualifications for homecare coverage under Medicare Part B, while coordinating pharmaceutical services allowing for a smooth transition from hospital to home. Pharmacon is focused on providing home intravenous therapy and related state-of-the-art medical equipment to patients and caregivers in our local delivery area and utilizing FedEx overnight services to patients anywhere in North America. Since inception, Pharmacon has continued to abide by its commitment to service and support which has allowed us to thrive in an ever changing healthcare marketplace.
