Nutritional Support Services

Our nutritional support services include Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN consultation, prescription guidance, preparation, delivery, training and setup. Also called Hyperalimentation or Hyperal for short, this service provides complete nutrition for the ailing patient intravenously by bypassing the GI tract. This is generally indicated in conditions such as Short Bowel Syndrome, Crohn's Disease, Gastroschisis, Cancer, AIDS, Wasting Syndrome, Hyperemesis, Tropical Sprue and tube feeding failure.

 

Additionally, we provide Enteral Nutrition therapy and related equipment. General indications for this type of feeding are Dysphagia, CVA or stroke, swallowing disorder and many other diagnoses. Common products used are Jevity, Ensure, Glucerna, TwoCal, Pulmocare, Isocal and Osmolite.

 

General Infusion & Injectable Therapy

This category includes intravenous antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration, Remicade, IVIG, pain management and various AIDS/HIV therapies. At Pharmacon, we compound all of our medications in a Baker Class 100 sterile biological cabinet in accordance with various state and federal guidelines for safety.

 

Inhalation Therapy

Our various inhalation therapies include but are not limited to pentamadine, terbutaline, dornase alpha and many others. We also rent and sell compressors and the related tubing sets!
